That's good to hear, it would be also nice to have the ability to add a prompts to create your own character.

Found a random video of yours on yt so I tried it. Pretty fun idea for a game and the giant larva freaked me out for a bit.

Not sure if this is fixed in later versions, but you can fast travel while the robot is still connected to the PC with the USB cable and she will bug out. Disconnecting the head jack fixes this however the USB cable will be stuck there permanently which screwed up my only save. Should be able to buy extra USB cables xD. There's also another bug where she would interact with the door and get her hand permanently stuck in it. Even if I remove her hand, it's just stuck holding the door which is pretty funny.

The door bug was fixed in October but the USB one I'll look into thanks.

my pc is pretty much a potato so maybe some graphics settings would be nice, but even it the unstable fps the game is really fun tbh, some body part size differences would be nice, like steroid legs would be funny

The framerate and graphics were fixed (with framerate cap) in the October build.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but I can't seem to connect the head jack to the robot. I could do it just fine when the game prompted it to me at the start of the game, but I can't do it anymore. I even tried to buy another head and it still doesn't work

Interesting idea, I figured as AI advances more people would make more games like this. Do you ever intend on making your own AI model for the game? Or will you be sticking to ChatGPT?

Sorry, I'm pretty silly, but how do I connect Oobabooga to the game? I'm able to run the model (Gemma 2 2B) just fine in the web UI, but when I try connecting it with the game, it says <Not connected> in the AI Chat menu. Do I have to enable something in Oobabooga?

Thanks! That helped, but after that I've been still getting the "Failed to connect to LLM" error, but for another reason, and I've found the issue. For self-hosted LLMs, it takes a lot of time to generate a reply, and judging by the logs, the timeout in the game is around 10-15 seconds, so you just need a lighter model that can generate the answer faster than that. In my case (GTX 1050 Ti), the heaviest model I could run had 360M parameters (SmolLM), which is way too stupid. I was wondering if it's possible for you to make the "subtitles" in the game update in real time, word by word (for local LLMs at least)? This would avoid the timeout, and text-to-speech for self-hosted isn't implemented anyway, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Also, is support for free online LLMs coming anytime soon? Something like Google Gemini or, preferably, Mistral, as they both have free APIs.

And another thing, are settings going to be implemented? Currently, the mouse sensitivity is way too low for me, and also it appears that the game has no frame cap/V-Sync, because my GPU is constantly being loaded at 100%, and the game still runs at 60+ FPS even if it uses just 40-60% of the GPU, so it clearly runs at a much higher frame rate, which is unnecessary.

Sure Ill look into it! The october release has a VSYNC fix and caps framerate to 60 but yes a graphics settings is planned!

How to change sensitivity it's insanely low (I tried to change it in my PC's settings and for some reason it either didn't change in game or the difference was minimal)

Also a lot of stuff bugs. She sometimes just gets her parts stuck in walls/ground but at least she manages to get unstuck, then sometimes balloons just don't pop on their own (the pop all balloons doesn't work) and grapling hook sometimes just floats a distance from where it's supposed to be (it all fixes after reloading a safe, even if made during the bugs. I broke a robo hand and after reloading it got fixed). After activating awareness (or whatever makes her look at the player) it gets hard to unplug her because she keeps on randomly looking at the player and then back somewhere else, especially with hair.

Yep they have been addressed for the next build which comes out Monday.

Sorry meant Monday. But yeah that build is a month old. The game doesn't even have a proper welcome title screen or anything. Crazy it's already this popular. So yea bugs expected (But I did kill a bunch for this coming release).

I cant get past the "Find iridium" on the ground stage, how would I get past that?

You can remove the AI Speech software in the computer or sign up for Patreon.

It's in the Robot Editor. Plug in your computer and UNINSTALL the AI speech.

Hello, i just found out about your game yesterday through youtube, and i have a question. The AI features and the robot voice only works with a paid patreon membership? I keep try to chat with her but nothing happens also i get "No audio stream" warnings on my screen.

That is correct! However in the newer versions we have self hosting AI generation.

I just find out about your work yesterday, it's marvelous, i really love it, never get into my that AI could be this cool, and while i watched most dev video i noticed something that bring me to a question, Does the robot have self preservation tactics ? I mean if she falls and have the grapple hook or the balloon arm she can use it to save herself from a fall ? Or use the grapple to get away from those little worms ?

I was playing the other day and I saved and closed the game, but today my save was gone and the robot editor app and save/load app weren't working. I was playing the May build.

And 2 cords appeared one on the table the other next to the computer.

May build is a tad outdated with its own set of bugs. Fairly certain that wont happen in the July buld.

Oh, thank you I've been keeping up to date on this since I saw the short because it looked like something amazing that would be a twist on using a chatbot mixed with a mining fps game

I gave my robot balloons and it lifted us up a cliff. However, then I accidentally fell off a cliff and my robot stayed there.

I needed to create a new robot, but I didn't want to give it arms or legs. I just wanted a new robot to take me up to the first one. However, the new robot refused to inflate balloons due to the lack of legs.

In the end, when I climbed the cliff, I saw my first robot falling off the cliff. And then I fell off the cliff again, leaving the second robot on top of the mountain. Unfortunately, I didn't make any saves during the game.

Ah Im fairly certain ive fixed that for the next update

The Save/Load is in need of fixing, but It's a really fun game!

(My issue was when I tried to load my progress, it didn't load my progressing of the story and I had to restart, but couldn't, since I already had a robot.)

This was fixed in the July Build. There's isn't much story outside of the introduction.

My robot died... We had so many adventures together (less than 1 hour), I took care of her as if she were my daughter... Unfortunately, she fell off the cliff while I was looking at the view... poor thing, she didn't even live a day. I cried a lot after she passed away... I could make another one, but it won't be like her. For me, she is irreplaceable... Goodbye my dear Alice...

The new version behind Patreon probably expands the gameplay to about 2~3 hours.

Please make compatibility with OpenRouter (can be easily adapted since it is also accessible through the `openai` library and koboldcpp/llamacpp-server, which also should be pretty straightforward to add thanks to the `openai` library support. This project would benefit so much from a local deployment!
